Payment FAQs

+ Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most commercial and group insurance plans, PPOs (preferred provider organization), Workers Comp, LOP (letter of protection), PIP (personal injury protection), and Medicare.


+ What if you are not on my insurance plan?

If we are not a participating provider on your insurance plan, we will gladly accommodate your in-network benefits. As an out-of-network provider, we will honor your in-network deductible and co-pay percentages for your MRI.


+ What if I do not have insurance?

We gladly accommodate our patients' financial needs if they do not have insurance. We will arrange a flexible payment plan that requires a down payment and a monthly minimum to cover your MRI scan.


+ Do you file my secondary insurance after my primary insurance or Medicare covers the principle charges?

As a courtesy for all our patients, we will file your primary insurance. When you arrive for your appointment, please be sure to give the patient coordinator all your insurance information which would include both your primary and secondary insurance. If we have all of your insurance information, it will be readily accessible for us to file with your secondary for the difference once your primary insurance has paid their portion of the bill.


+ Do you accept Letters of Protection (LOP) from my attorney?

We accept Letters of Protection, but we must have the letter from your attorney faxed or mailed to our offices before you come for your MRI. It is your responsibility to update us on the status of your case, your settlement, and any changes that may occur as a result of your LOP.


+ Do you accept PIP (Personal Injury Protection) cases?

We accept PIP cases. When patients with PIP insurance come for their MRI, they must sign a PIP assignment of benefits which assures that the PIP check will come directly to our offices for medical services rendered on your behalf.


+ What do I do when I receive the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from my insurance?

An EOB refers to an Explanation of Benefits which shows the patient what the percentage and amount that the insurance paid on the claim. When you receive your EOB and we are not an in-network provider, please do not be alarmed, we will make the necessary in-network adjustments to accommodate your in-network benefits. Once these adjustments are made, you will receive a statement from us which will show the appropriate amount that you owe.


+ Do you accept credit cards?

We accept all major credit cards including American Express, Master Card, Discover, and Visa.


+ Do you accept Workers Comp?

We accept all Workers Comp claims with the appropriate authorization from your Workers Comp carrier.


+ How long does it take for my insurance company to respond or pay for my MRI claim?

On average, it takes about 45 days for the insurance company to respond to our claim once we bill it. During this time period, your insurance company may require that you submit additional information such as accident details, etc. which will help them process the claim in a timely manner. If you respond to all your insurance company's inquiries, it will help expedite the payment cycle and get your claim paid faster.
